Die Hard 2 and Die Hard with a Vengeance are coming to 4K Ultra HD for the first time on December 1. 20th Century Studios Home Entertainment announced the releases on October 8, as reported by Media Play News.
Each film will come as a SteelBook combo pack with a 4K disc, a regular Blu-ray and a digital code. The original Die Hard, which has been on 4K for years, is also being reissued in a new SteelBook so that all three films match.
Die Hard 2 was directed by Renny Harlin in 1990, and Die Hard with a Vengeance by John McTiernan in 1995. Bruce Willis stars as John McClane in both. The Digital Bits reports that the sequels will be on 100GB discs, with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and French and Spanish options.
Live Free or Die Hard and A Good Day to Die Hard are not getting new discs, but all five films will receive new artwork at digital retailers, according to BroadwayWorld.
Disney has not yet announced any bonus features, Forbes reports, and fan reaction to the new cover art has been divided.
