Jesse Eisenberg says his Razzie win for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice damaged his career. “I definitely couldn't get studio parts anymore after my Razzie win. The industry did not want me in a superhero film,” he said, according to Entertainment Report. Variety headlined its own report that winning the Razzie damaged his career.
Eisenberg won the Golden Raspberry Award for playing Lex Luthor in the 2016 film. Entertainment Report does not name the outlet or date of the interview.
It is not the first time he has said this. On the Armchair Expert podcast in December 2024, he said the film was “so poorly received” and that he was too, adding: “I genuinely think it actually hurt my career in a real way,” according to Gamereactor. He said he does not read reviews or press and so was unaware of how poorly it was received.
Eisenberg's directorial effort The Debut recently premiered in London, with Julianne Moore attending, according to Variety. THR says his next project is a TV series.
