New Set Photos Show Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz Back as Rick and Evelyn

Photos from the untitled fourth Mummy film show both stars in costume, 25 years after they last played the roles together.

Set photos from the new Mummy movie show Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz back in costume as Rick and Evelyn O'Connell, the first look at the pair together in the franchise in 25 years. The images began circulating in late September, shortly after production got under way.

According to Page Six, Fraser was photographed on a Monday at a former military base in Suffolk, England, wearing a black leather jacket and getting into a silver-and-red rocket car for what appears to be a record-speed trials scene. His stunt double was also seen driving the same car. Weisz was photographed separately in London, including outside the British Museum, in a cropped brown jacket and wide-brimmed hat. Other photos reported by Coming Soon show her in a yellow polka-dot skirt carrying a briefcase.

The costumes suggest the story has moved to the 1950s, though the film's setting has not been officially confirmed, and the title has not been announced. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of Radio Silence are directing from a screenplay by David Coggeshall. John Hannah, Oded Fehr and Kevin J. O'Connor are also reported to return, and Michael Johnston and Numan Acar have joined the cast.

Production began on September 7, 2026. Universal has moved the release up to October 15, 2027, from its earlier date of May 19, 2028.
