Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reached about $955 million at the domestic box office after 68 days in release, according to The Numbers. That leaves it roughly $45 million short of $1 billion in North America.
The film earned about $2.45 million over the October 2 weekend in 1,724 theaters, a 40% decline from the previous weekend. Its worldwide total stands at about $2.5 billion, which places it third on the all-time global chart.
Whether it can reach the domestic $1 billion mark will depend on how long theaters keep it on screens. At its current weekly pace, the climb would be slow.
