Bumblebee is getting his own solo comic series in 2027. Transformers: Bumblebee – Lost Planet launches on January 27, 2027, and Screen Rant reports it will be a self-contained story. It is part of Skybound Visions, a line of standalone comics from Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics.
The official synopsis picks up after a devastating Decepticon attack leaves Bumblebee stranded on an uncharted planet. Beneath its surface, the planet hides a secret that has already begun corrupting and changing its native life. Bumblebee must survive being hunted by the deadliest Decepticon of all, and the story suggests the Autobots' greatest hope may come from the transformation of their most unexpected warrior.
The series comes from writer Tate Brombal and artist Matt Emmons, with Giovanna Niro and Becca Carey also credited on the book. A first-look preview with interior pages was released on October 9, and Wikipedia lists the series as running five issues.
The announcement adds to a busy stretch for the character. Hasbro has also confirmed a second season of the animated web series Transformers: Cyberworld, in which Bumblebee gains a new form of Energon that boosts his powers.
