Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch is about to leave HBO Max. Collider reports that the 110-minute fantasy is in its final days on the service, so anyone who wants to watch it there should do so soon.
The film was Snyder's first original project, following his Dawn of the Dead remake, 300 and Watchmen. It is his take on a young woman, Babydoll, who is committed to a psychiatric hospital and escapes through the shared fantasy worlds of the patients. Variety's ranking of Snyder's films calls it a bonkers tale.
The cast includes Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone, Abbie Cornish, Oscar Isaac, Jon Hamm, Carla Gugino and Jamie Chung. Collider reports that it had a reported budget of $80 million and earned about $89 million worldwide, which made it the only Snyder film to lose money for Warner Bros.
Snyder has expressed interest in making one of his signature director's cuts of the film, but Collider says that remains purely conceptual.
